So much to say about this wonderful couple! I photographed Layne and Derrick back in 2023 for their engagement photos and we hit it off instantly. I left that shoot saying to myself—”I would love to document their wedding. These are my people.” Fast forward a few months and I get a message from Layne and the rest is history!
The day started off with cloudy skies but bright hearts. You can instantly feel the warmth from every single person that were there to celebrate the big day. Both Layne and Derrick were decked out in fashion that made them look like they stepped right out of a Vogue Weddings article. The details throughout the event caught my eye immediately—from the florals to the punky champagne glasses to even the pearl embellishments that were on Layne’s veil that she handmade herself! It was a fun and stylish wedding!
Layne & Derrick’s event was photographed on a mix of digital, color 35mm film, black/white 35mm film, color medium format 120 film, and black/white medium format 120 film.
